Through our materials, our certified production and our packaging, we are moving step by step towards more responsible production, in order to reduce our impact on the environment.
CAREFULLY SELECTED MATERIALS
At NOO, everything starts with our materials: lace, a print, lurex… And it’s the start of a new range.
1. GO FOR EUROPE
We mainly source our fabrics from France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Turkey. The majority of these comply with the OEKO-TEX label, which guarantees the absence of harmful chemicals in textile products. And in a more responsible approach, we reuse our remaining end-of-line fabric stocks whenever we can.
2. RECYCLED FIBERS AND THREADS
Each season, we increase the number of pieces made from recycled fibers.
We also favor natural materials such as Ecovero® viscose for our homewear and ready-to-wear pieces. You can find the origin of our materials as well as their composition in each product sheet.
NOO pieces made from a French material, a material from an existing fabric stock, containing at least 50% GRS recycled yarns and fibers and/or Ecovero® viscose are part of our NOO FOR THE PLANET label .
A REASONABLE PRODUCTION
We choose to produce fair quantities. This sometimes results in rapid stock shortages: be quick if you have spotted a piece that catches your eye!
1. AUDITED GARMENT WORKSHOPS
To make your NOO pieces, head to our partner workshops around the Mediterranean basin (in Tunisia and Turkey) where our designers go every season. We choose them for their know-how, their transparency and their social and environmental commitments.
Oeko-Tex certified, our first Tunisian workshop is audited via the BSCI system (A rating), which guarantees workers' rights in emerging countries: freedom of association, union rights, working hours and decent wages.
Also based in Tunisia, our second workshop is GRS certified, which means that it is committed to training its employees on environmental issues, controls its consumption of electricity, greenhouse gases and energy, and manages its waste responsibly.
Our Turkish workshop is SEDEX certified, a globally recognized accreditation that guarantees ethical and responsible sourcing and manufacturing practices.
2. THE MEDITERRANEAN BASIN, OUR HQ
Our entire production chain is installed around the Mediterranean basin. Between the NOO team in Marseille, our suppliers (French, Italian, Spanish or Turkish) and our factories (in Tunisia and Turkey), we limit transport as much as possible. And of course, we favor the boat, less polluting!
PACKAGING AS WE LIKE IT
All your orders are packaged in 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard boxes.
The cards you can find in your orders are produced from certified paper and printed with solvent-free vegetable ink.
We also offer a NO PACKAGING option, which allows you to limit the packaging of your order. Cool, right?
