At NOO, we’ve been working for 10 years to design and create collections that strike the perfect balance between boldness, style, and comfort—all while operating as sustainably as possible. From the materials we choose to the locations of our manufacturing facilities, the shipping of your items, and our social responsibility initiatives, we always strive to make the best possible choices and, above all, to improve season after season. We know there is still a long way to go, but we are proud to move forward, step by step.
MATERIALS
At NOO, it all starts with our materials. We source most of our fabrics from Europe. The majority of these fabrics meet the OEKO-TEX standard, which guarantees that textile products are free of harmful chemicals. Whenever possible, we reuse leftover fabric from previous collections. Each season, we increase the number of pieces made from recycled fibers and prioritize natural materials such as Ecovero® viscose. In the interest of transparency, we provide you with the ability to find the origin of our materials as well as their composition on each product page.
In 2025, the majority of our materials came from…
Italy: 116 styles
Turkey: 79 styles
France: 29 styles
179 styles made with materials sourced from the European Union in 2025. This represents 64% of our creations in 2025.
PRODUCTION
Our production is entirely based around the Mediterranean. From our team in Marseille to our partner factories and suppliers, we keep our supply chain as close — and as low-impact — as possible. Whenever we can, we choose sea freight, which is significantly less polluting than air transport.
In 2024, our parts were produced mainly in…
Tunisia: 262 models
Portugal: 4 models
Türkiye: 14 models
100% of our production is carried out around the Mediterranean basin.
NOO FOR THE PLANET
Launched in 2020, the NOO FOR THE PLANET label identifies styles designed with intention and care for the planet. These include pieces made with French fabrics, upcycled materials, or fabrics containing at least 50% lower-impact fibers (such as recycled fibers, Ecovero® viscose, or organic cotton).
Among these styles, we are proud to have offered you:
- 43 styles made from French fabrics
- 43 styles containing at least 50% recycled fibers
- 54 upcycled styles, meaning they are made from leftover fabrics from our previous collections
- 11 styles containing Ecovero® viscose, a viscose derived from sustainably sourced wood from FSC- or PEFC-certified forests
- 9 styles created using fabric from existing stock at our suppliers
Some NOO FOR THE PLANET styles even meet two or more of these criteria, such as our Black Blossom line, a lace made from recycled fibers sourced from our dormant stock.
CERTIFIED WORKSHOP
To craft your NOO pieces, we partner with workshops around the Mediterranean basin, which our patternmakers visit every season. We select them for their expertise, transparency, and social and environmental commitments. Oeko-Tex certified, our first Tunisian workshop is audited via the BSCI system (grade A), which guarantees workers’ rights in emerging countries: freedom of association, union rights, working hours, and decent wages. Also based in Tunisia, our second workshop is GRS-certified, meaning it is committed to training its employees on environmental issues, monitoring its consumption of electricity, greenhouse gases, and energy, and managing its waste responsibly. Our Turkish workshop, meanwhile, is SEDEX-certified, a globally recognized accreditation that guarantees ethical and responsible sourcing and manufacturing practices.
TRANSPORTATION & PACKAGING
In 2025, 100% of our goods will have been shipped by boat, a mode of transport that is far less polluting than air travel.
All NOO orders are packaged in 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard boxes. The cards we sometimes include in packages are made from certified paper and printed with solvent-free vegetable-based ink. We also offer a NO PACKAGING option, which allows you to minimize packaging for your orders.
GOALS
70% of our products will carry the NOO FOR THE PLANET label by 2030.
Starting in 2027, we aim to have 60% of our collections consist of more sustainable products, while continuing to adhere to our NOO FOR THE PLANET charter.
At least 30% of our items will be available in size 48 by 2030. And starting in 2025, we are committed to promoting the representation of all women through our choice of models as well as the content creators we collaborate with.
